Treating each other with kindness and respect
We genuinely care about your health and wellbeing, and our dedicated staff work tirelessly to provide you with the best possible care. When you meet or speak to our staff, you can be part of creating the positive and supportive environment that’s better for everyone. Treating our staff and other service users with kindness and respect not only makes healthcare settings a nicer place to be, it helps us to focus on your needs and the needs of others.

Here are a few ways we can work together to ensure a pleasant experience for everyone:

Be nice to each other: It’s a simple thing, but a kind word or a smile can go a long way in brightening someone's day. Everyone deserves respect and kindness, whether they are working or receiving care.

Be understanding: We understand it can be frustrating when there are delays or things don’t go the way we’d expected. We will do our best to get things right, but we appreciate your patience and understanding when things don’t go to plan.

Give constructive feedback: We really value feedback. Positive feedback can make our staff feel valued, while hearing constructive feedback about concerns can help us learn and improve. Feedback can be provided in a respectful way on the day, or you can follow up with us through our various feedback routes - www.cambscommunityservices.nhs.uk/patient-experience

Being available on time: We have a lot of people to help each day, so it is important for us that you are available to be seen at your appointment time. If you are late to your appointment or out when we come to see you, we may not be able to see you. This is likely to be frustrating for you and will also be disappointing for us – we want to give you the care you need. If you have an issue with a particular day or time, please let us know as early as possible and we can try and rearrange things for you.

Follow any guidelines: Our staff follow lots of guidelines to ensure everyone is safe and comfortable. Sometimes we will have guidelines it will be important for you to follow too. We’ll try to let you know in advance about anything that may impact you, while some other guidelines may be signposted or explained to you on the day.

Working together to create a positive and caring atmosphere means we can focus on what really matters – your health and wellbeing.

Thank you for your help in making Cambridgeshire Community Services better for everyone.
